Introducing Skills

Skills lets advice firms save everyday tasks in Marloo and run them with one command.
Introducing Skills

Today we’re launching Skills, available to every Marloo user.

Every advice firm has work it repeats week after week, like the follow up email after a review, the brief to paraplanning and the morning briefing before the day starts. Most of it gets rewritten from scratch every time or someone pastes in an old version and hopes it still works.

With Skills you save a task once and anyone on your team can run it again with one command.

How your firm works took years to build and most of it sits in the heads of your best people. Skills turn it into instructions Marloo follows every time.

More than 50 firms tested the feature and turned the prompts they were tired of rewriting into nearly 300 skills.

What is a skill?

A skill is a saved set of instructions for a task you do regularly. Tell Marloo what the task involves and what good looks like. It saves those steps so you can run them again with one command, using the context Marloo already has.

What firms built first

Post meeting follow up emails. The most popular skill. It writes the summary, agreed actions and next steps in the adviser’s voice and the same format every time.

Annual review preparation. One command pulls together what has changed since the last review: portfolio movements, outstanding actions and missing documents.

Morning briefings. Today’s meetings, who they are with and what each client still has outstanding.

Product comparisons. Compare any fund or investment product with fees, performance, ratings and asset allocation side by side in the firm’s standard format. Before recommending a switch, an adviser can see how the proposed funds compare with the client’s current holdings.

How to start

Three ways to get started.

Describe it. Type /create-skill in Ask Marloo and describe the task and what a good result looks like. Marloo builds the skill.

Save a chat. Got a follow up email just right after a few tries? Ask Marloo to turn that chat into a skill and your refinements are saved with it.

Existing process docs. If your firm has process documents, upload them and ask Marloo to help you create skills and task templates. Firm wide tools, accessible with a single command.

From personal to firm wide

Every skill starts private and you choose who else can use it. Share one with your team and everyone can run it and improve it.

What changes for your role

Sole advisers and small firms. Skills are the assistant you would train if you had the time.

Principals and directors. Build the annual review once and share it so everyone prepares the way your best adviser does.

Paraplanners. Save the structure once and spend your time on the analysis.

Administrators. Morning briefings, chasers and client emails each run with one command.

Skills is now live for every Marloo firm. To start, open a chat where you got a repeated task right and ask Marloo to turn it into a skill.
